“Meyhane” is the place where regulars meet to laugh and cry together, while sharing mezes from the same plate and sing along the music playing as they toast their raki glasses. Eventually as the night ends, all the people at the place become one heightened spirit.

As one of the surviving monuments of traditional meyhane culture, Sofyalı 9 continues to offer its regulars a pleasant shelter for more than twenty years, in its historical building dating from the end of the 1800s, where Turkish and Greek melodies are blended at the background to accompany to the deepened conversations.
